5 ways your business can help a local charity…

Helping a charity doesn’t always have to mean financially — there are so many ways you can get involved and support a local cause in your community if you have the ability to share some of your time, skills and resources. Here are 5 ways your business can help a local charity…

Donate your expertise
Are you a designer? Offering to design and print a charity’s marketing materials for a specific event or campaign free of charge is a great way to help them raise awareness of their services and fundraise. Local design agency, We Create Better recently helped us print out some much-needed materials while our printer was out of action. They have also offered to print our Impact Report for us this year.

Donate your knowledge
Are you a marketing professional? By offering some free advice to a charity about their website, social media, newsletter etc. you are helping them to raise their profile and reach a wider audience.

Donate your services
Are you a local tradesman? Local removal company, Perry, recently moved some furniture at head office, making our working space more efficient. Phil’s Handyman Services fixed our broken front door to make sure our building was secure — both services were free of charge.

Donate your venue
Do you have an event space that you are able to offer to a charity free of charge, to host a fundraising event? Redchurch Brewery have supported Accuro by giving us a free venue for a number of years and we have a mutually beneficial relationship.

Donate items
Do you have any unwanted office supplies or luxury items? There will most likely be a need for them at a charity — either in the office, out in projects/clubs/services, or as raffle and auction prizes for fundraising.
