We are looking for a Trustee with one or more of the following skills/experience: Parent/Carer, Marketing and Communications, IT and Finance
Accuro is a small, vibrant, local charity providing a range of specialist services for children, young people and adults with a disability in West Essex. Our passion is to enable those we serve to belong, contribute and thrive, while also providing much needed respite for families.
We have a fantastic and long-standing team of Trustees who are now looking for their final piece to complete their extensive skill set.
Can you spare a few hours every other month to attend an evening meeting and some time prior to this to read the papers? You do not need to have been a Trustee before as this role and the rest of the Trustee team can help you develop additional skills.
Our head office is located just outside Bishops Stortford and we provide services in Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford so, ideally, the successful candidate will be based in West Essex or East Herts although meetings can be attended on-line.
This role is a voluntary one but we do have the capacity to meet travel expenses.
To find out more, please get in touch by ringing the office on 01279 870297 or via jobs@accuro.org.uk.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check.
You will be expected to contribute a minimum of one evening every two months for Board meetings and are encouraged to make regular visits to the Accuro projects. You may wish to develop a relationship/interest with one or two clubs.
If you are interested in finding out more about this exciting opportunity and would like an informal discussion, please contact our team on enquiries@accuro.org.uk

Trustee Story — Jess
“I approached Accuro to become a Trustee as I had previously worked for the charity operationally. I felt my career had provided me with some transferable skills to support Accuro with business planning and development, and I already believed in the charity’s ethos. I enjoy being part of something where decisions are made to make a positive difference to local families. The passion of the staff and Trustees at Board meetings is obvious and it’s great to see the progress of projects and positive feedback from services users and families. It makes me feel proud that I can play a small part in the success of Accuro!”
