Communications and Digital Fundraising Officer
Up to 22.5 hours per week.
Flexible/hybrid working arrangements will be considered.
(office is Bishops Stortford, CM22 7TA/moving to CB11 in the New Year)£27,300 per annum pro-rata
We are looking to fill this exciting role to build the profile of and raise funds for our local registered charity that exists to provide a range of services for children/adults with a disability and their families. We operate across West Essex – throughout the Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford districts.
This role will be responsible for all our marketing communications and materials including the maintenance of our website, e-newsletters, social media channels and communications within Accuro and with those who use our services. You will also be responsible for building relationships internally and externally to formulate stories, case studies and grow the charity’s income through digital fundraising.
With previous in-depth experience of social media and website maintenance, you must be a strong communicator and well organised, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to connect positively with diverse audiences. With bags of enthusiasm, you will also need to be flexible to support our events and visit our clubs, some of which may take place during evenings and weekends.

Life Skills Practitioner, STRIDE
4.5 hours each fortnight, on a Saturday (26 weeks per year), from £13.23 (£11.50 plus 15% for Saturday working)
We are looking for a special someone to join our established team providing life skills to our members aged 19-25 across West Essex.
Ideally with experience of working with young people with additional needs, you will assist the members to get the most from the fortnightly sessions by supporting them in their development.
Great communication skills, a passion for lifelong learning, patience and the ability to travel across West Essex as the project moves location every six months are what we are looking for.

Deputy Scheme Co-ordinator, Holiday Scheme
15 hours per week, 13 weeks per year during school holidays, across West Essex. From £12.75 per hour
As the Deputy Scheme Co-ordinator on our holiday scheme, you will work closely with the Scheme Co-ordinator to plan and deliver sessions throughout the school holidays. You will work on average 3 days per week for 13 weeks per year. Bank work may be available on other schemes throughout the year if required.
Our holiday scheme is for children and young people from age 8-19.
You must have experience of planning and delivering fun and enjoyable sessions, working with children and young people with additional needs. You will also need to drive and have access to a car as there is no base for this role and sessions are delivered across West Essex.

Senior/Community Support Worker, 19-25 Scheme, Uttlesford
3.5 hours per week, every other Tuesday. Must drive and have access to a car. From £11.50 per hour
We are looking for a part-time staff member to join our friendship scheme that works with adults with a range of disabilities and needs who live in the Uttlesford area. The role will assist with the weekly evening group sessions providing a mix of leisure and social activities, working as part of a dedicated team. One week you could be baking, the next bowling and the following going for a walk to the pub for a meal.
Ideally you will have some experience of interacting with young adults with additional needs. However, if you have bags of enthusiasm, great interpersonal skills and the desire to make a difference to the lives of our members, we can offer relevant training.
