Session Lead
Adult Projects Scheme
£10.42 per hour

Over the last six months we have added two new Adult Projects to our services – a young adult friendship scheme and a life skills programme, both aimed at those aged 19-25 across Uttlesford and Harlow.
We are delighted these have been successful and as a result, we are now looking for the following new posts:

Session Lead – Uttlesford (based in Saffron Walden), Tuesday 6-9.30pm

To attend and deliver our weekly sessions offering fun activities for adults with a disability to socialise and make friends in a supportive environment.

Working with our existing team of staff, the sessions will have been planned and your role is to lead and deliver the activities, ensuring they are safe, enjoyable and that appropriate supervision is in place at all times.

Session Lead – STRIDE, Saturdays, 9.30am – 2.30pm, alternate weeks – Harlow/Uttlesford

To attend and run the fortnightly sessions of our life skills programme which cover everything from household tasks, social and communication skills, healthy living and employability.  The programme has recently run for six months in Harlow and is now due to start in Great Dunmow.

You will be supported by guest speakers and experts in the topic areas plus our existing team of staff.

To be successful in these roles, you must have experience of working with adults with a disability and ideally hold a relevant qualification.  We are looking for applicants with excellent interpersonal skills, bags of enthusiasm and the desire to make a real difference.

In return we can offer you a flexible, rewarding part-time role to fit in with your other commitments.  Appropriate training will be provided.

If successful, an enhanced DBS disclosure will be undertaken by Accuro.

Closing Date Sunday 5th June

For an informal discussion about these roles, please contact Alison McKeown on 01279 871133.
