Solicitor Kate Douch Raises over £400 in Flitch Way Walk
Partner at Heckford Norton, Kate Douch took on a 26.2 mile ‘Flitch Way Marathon Shuffle’ with her Husband Chris and a group of 12 keen walkers (and two dogs!). The Flitch Way is a former railway line that stretches between Bishop’s Stortford and Braintree, so it’s fair to say they covered a lot of ground!
Following the walk, Kate told us “It went well, the weather was glorious which helped! I am now feeling very much in my legs but I’m sure I’ll get over that!”
The photo shows Kate and Chris in their Accuro t-shirts at the half-way point. Just look at those smiles!
Kate’s Just Giving page is still open at the time of writing and she has so far raised £340, which with gift aid totals over £400 – an incredible amount that could pay for a special social event for 15 of our service users.
A massive thank you to Kate and Chris for their incredibly hard work and fundraising efforts.
Challenge Events like this are a fantastic way to raise funds and help us tremendously to raise the profile of Accuro. If you’d like to take part in a fundraising challenge and would like more info on how to do so, please contact us on fundraising@accuro.org.uk. We’re more than happy to provide support and advice and we are, of course very grateful to anyone willing to take on a challenge in aid of Accuro!
