Making or changing a Will.
For more information about writing or updating your Will, please visit Remember A Charity’s guide on making a Will
Here are some of the ways you can leave a gift in your Will:
- A Pecuniary Gift: A simple gift of a stated amount of money
- A Residuary Gift: A percentage of the total estate
- Life Interest: the beneficiary has the use of the gift, for instance a house, during their lifetime. After their death, it passes to a nominated beneficiary which could be a charity like Accuro.
- Gifts in Kind: A specified item.
Gifts made to a registered charity in a Will are always inheritance tax free.
