Raising money for Accuro

The Accuro 50 was devised to promote walking in West Essex, to raise the profile of the charity and to encourage charitable donations to Accuro. The walk follows public routes that can be walked without donating, however if you choose to undertake the Accuro 50 challenge and raise donations, here are some suggestions:

• Set yourself a clear target – complete the Accuro 50 in three days for example – and encourage friends, family and colleagues to donate. Maybe this could be a commitment to a certain amount per day or mile, or on completion.
• Create an online fundraising page; these are secure and easy to share by social media, email or WhatsApp. Gift Aid can be collected too. Accuro have set up a campaign page for the Accuro 50 on the fundraising platform ‘Give as You Live’ which you can link to your own fundraising page on the platform. • Businesses and organisations can agree to donate a specific sum on successful completion of the Accuro 50 by individuals or a team, or by match funding donations.
• If you don’t want to take on the full distance why not consider a team relay?

Most people will walk the Accuro 50 in small groups; some may do so individually. Because of the nature of many of the paths, it is not a route suitable for very large groups of more than about 20.
