Karen has been involved with Accuro for a number of years after her daughter Hayley began to access Accuro’s Holiday Scheme and Saturday Play club at the age of 6 and then went on to access Accuro services until the age of 19.

Karen became a parent Trustee 2006 and stepped down from the roll in October 2020 to support the organisation where Hayley now resides. Whilst supporting Accuro Karen contributed greatly to the Board of Trustee’s initially as a Trustee and then went on to be Chair of Trustees and Treasurer.  Karen brought a great wealth of experience to the board and we are immensely grateful for the insight she provided from the perspective of a parent with a child with a disability.

In recognition of the commitment, Leadership and valuable contributions which enriched and developed the organisation over the years, we are very pleased that Karen accepted the title of Honorary Trustee.
