Make a difference with us this Learning Disability Week

Learning Disability Week 2022 will take place from 20th to 26th June 2022. Organised by Mencap, Learning Disability Week provides the opportunity for charities like Accuro to promote awareness and acceptance of Learning Disabilities.

This year’s theme is ‘Living Life with a Learning Disability’ and connecting with others socially. At Accuro, we provide clubs and services to empower people with disabilities, providing a safe, inclusive, and accessible place for them to socialise, have fun and be themselves.

Throughout Learning Disability Week this year, we’re aiming to raise a total of £1000 from 20th – 26th June.

You can make a difference and help us meet our target by donating or by liking, sharing or commenting on our social media posts. The more we share, the more people we can reach, helping us to further spread the word about Accuro to those who may benefit from our services.

We’ve never done anything quite like this before and we’d LOVE your help to reach our ambitious goal!

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing stories on social media. You’ll hear from our members and their families about the difference Accuro has made for them and about the difference your donation could make.

We’ll be fundraising in two different ways, aiming to raise £500 on each platform.

You can donate either via Give As You Live throughout the week at:

Or, if you prefer, you can visit our Facebook Page where we’ll be holding daily Facebook Fundraisers from Monday to Friday, aiming to raise £100 per day.

Thank you for your support.

The final day of Learning Disability Week is Sunday 26th June, the very same day as our exciting Jubilee Celebration Event! This Family Friendly event will be held in Saffron Walden at the Jubilee Gardens from 2pm-5pm and will include refreshments, an exhibition of Jubilee Crafts created by our members and games, shows and magic with the brilliant Flying Seagull Project. Entry is absolutely FREE – we’d love to see you there. Find out more at:
