What We’ve Been Up To

The current situation means things haven’t gone quite the way we’d planned for the past couple of months at Accuro.

We had exciting activities planned including Easter and Half Term Break, but of course, these have sadly had to be cancelled.

At Accuro, we know the importance of staying connected. Our clubs aim to reduce social isolation for our members, so we certainly weren’t about to disappear on them!

We’ve been working with our members virtually via video calls, phone calls and by setting tasks and activities for members to complete at home.

Video chats mean that our members can still see us and their friends from clubs while we are unable to be together in person. Chatting via video chat has meant that members from clubs in different areas have been able to meet and make new friends online, something that potentially wouldn’t have been the case with clubs running as ‘normal’.

The tasks and activities we have set have been well received and our members and their families have been sharing what they’ve been getting up to with us via email and our private Facebook group.

We’ve had artwork…

And our Adult Friendship Scheme have even been taking part in a ‘Bake Off Challenge’ throughout the month of May! The winner will be announced on 1st June!

We’re still here and working hard to ensure our members stay connected with us and with their friends at this time.

We can’t wait to be back!
