Kooth

Kooth is an online counselling and emotional wellbeing support service providing young people aged 11-18 years (up to 19th birthday) in mid Essex with a free, safe, and secure means of accessing support from a professional team of qualified counsellors.

Young people can access this service anonymously by signing onto the Kooth website. They can access:

  • Online counselling
  • Self-help materials
  • Fully moderated peer-to-peer support forums
  • Personal goal-based journal

Open Door

 

Open Door in Saffron Walden provide free face to face counselling (normally) and either Zoom or phone counselling at present for young people aged 11 to 26 years. have a team of 12 counsellors working on a voluntary basis for us. Clients can self-refer or be referred by their GP.

YCT

YCT is a counselling and therapeutic support charity who specialise in supporting children and young people aged 5 – 25 years, their families and the professionals who work with them.

YCT has recently been commissioned to provide early intervention counselling for Children and Young People across West Essex. Sessions are now via telephone due to the COVID-19 restrictions, but will eventually be delivered in Harlow, Loughton, Stansted, Thaxted, and Saffron Walden.
