Accuro Transitions Project – We need you!
We have exciting news!
We are keen to launch a new project, ‘Transitions’, a scheme that will help over 19s with a disability to build life skills and greater independence as they transition into adulthood.
There is a real shortage of services aimed at Young Adults. With this in mind, we’ve been working closely with our service users, their families and other local organisations to develop the idea for ‘Transitions’.
Life skills are something so many of us take for granted each day. Brushing your teeth, making your bed, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, use of transport and so many more. These along with staying healthy, taking up new hobbies, building relationships and employment all contribute to a happy and meaningful lifestyle.
At Transitions, we will provide a safe place for young adults with disabilities to belong, contribute and thrive. Our service users will be supported in learning new and developing existing life skills, making for a smoother, happier transition into adulthood.
The project will provide activities and support covering a wide range of areas. These may include personal hygiene, self care, healthy eating and cooking, exercise, employment and more. These opportunities will be through a range of group and one to one activities.

Our Adult Friendship Scheme is also available to adults of all ages with a disability.
Thank you so much for your support.
