Under 13's Saturday Club
Our Saturday Club aims to provide opportunities for children with a range of disabilities and needs, to engage in constructive and imaginative play within a safe, caring environment. We aim to develop each child's

Most importantly we strive to provide a fun, child centred environment where each child's individual needs are met.Saturday Play Club welcomes children who are rising from 6 to 13 years of age who live in West Essex and Uttlesford. Families are welcome to come and visit by prior arrangement. We open 42 Saturdays a year during term times from 10am to 2pm. Specific dates are advised in writing at the start of each term.
We are very fortunate to have use of Dame Bradbury's School in Saffron Walden. The facilities here are excellent, we have access to a variety of areas including a magnificent sports hall. The school also have wonderful grounds which we use - weather permitting!
Saturday Play Club is run by two qualified Playleaders who are supported by four Playworkers. The core staffing is supplemented by both bank staff and volunteers. All staff hold current Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau checks and attend regular training such as Child Protection, First Aid, Manual Handling and Epilepsy.
There is a charge of £8 for each session attended. This may be waived however if an application is made to Accuro head office.
Accuro is committed to providing a quality service to our children and families. The Play Club is registered with and inspected by Ofsted & copies of their inspection reports can be obtained from the Accuro office or can be downloaded direct from Ofsted at www.ofsted.gov.uk
Over 13's Saturday Club
We are very excited to announce that our new club (13-16 year olds) opened on 6th November 2010!
We have recently been successful in securing funding to set up a second Saturday Club for 13 to 16 year olds with a range of disabilities and needs. This group of six children will meet at the same time and location as the exisitng Play Club but will follow a different timetable of activities.
