ADULT FRIENDSHIP SCHEME - HARLOW:  Community Support Worker (Part-Time)

7.65 to  8.25 per hour

Accuro wishes to recruit a part-time Community Support Worker to work in the Harlow area.  This post will be from 10 to 20 hours per month (i.e. approx. 2.5 to 5 hours per week).  The main task will be to enable/support individuals or small groups of 2/3 adults with a disability to access a variety of leisure and social opportunities that may otherwise not be available to them.  For example, to accompany people to go to the cinema, or to go out for a meal.  The person appointed will share our positive attitudes and is likely to have previous experience of interacting with adults with a disability.

ASD GROUP - HARLOW: Support Worker (Monday Evening's)

To assist at our fun and social youth group for children and young adults on the autistic spectrum.  There is also the opportunity to take part In community work and befriending.

SATURDAY PLAY CLUB - Permanent Play Workers/Bank Staff required 

Accuro is currently seeking Play Workers for our established and highly regarded Saturday Play Club which welcomes children aged 6 to 16 with a range of disabilities. The club which meets at Dame Bradbury School in Saffron Walden opens on 42 Saturdays per year. Play Workers hours are 09.30 to 14.30.  

Saturday Play Club provides a safe, stimulating and fun environment. Our focus is on individualising activities and outings to reflect the wishes, potential and needs of each child.  

Ideally applicants will hold a relevant NVQ Qualification (or equivalent) to level 2 or above and have previous experience of working with children with disabilities. However applications will also be welcomed from those who have a desire to work with children with disabilities and who demonstrate a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.

We welcome prospective applicants to visit Saturday Play Club by prior arrangement.

All staff, including bank staff (who work on an ad hoc basis as required to cover staff holidays, etc.) should share our positive attitude.
