Starbucks Harlow get Spooky for Accuro!

Starbucks Harlow spent the last week of October in style to raise funds and awareness for Accuro!

Staff at the store kicked off a week of fancy dress with a Disney Themed dress up day on Saturday 26th October with fun costumes all week leading up to Halloween.

Ditching the green aprons was just beginning though. The store also held a Raffle and ‘Draw a Cup’ competition to raise funds. The Raffle proved incredibly popular with customers buying tickets in the hopes of bagging one of three gift boxes packed with Starbucks goodies! And for the kids, the ‘Draw a Cup’ contest went down a storm! Kids entered by drawing their best Halloween themed designs on one of Starbucks takeaway coffee cups to win one of three Halloween Gift Packs.

Our Community Fundraiser Chloe went along to draw the Raffle Tickets and pick the Draw a Cup Winners – which was a very tough choice!

Over the course of the week, the store raise over £180 from Raffle Ticket Sales, Draw a Cup entries and one off donations, which is an incredible amount.

Events like this help us to not only raise vital funds for the Charity, but it also helps us to spread the word about what we do. Currently, we provide services in Harlow in the form of our Cool Connections Club for 11-19 year olds and the Adult Friendship Scheme, so this was a great opportunity to let local people know who we are and what we do.
